The Wellfleet Fire Department would like to inform the public that we are transitioning to an electronic permitting system through Open.gov.

As part of this update, all open burn permits must be purchased online through Open.gov from January 15th through May 1st using the following link:

With the implementation of this new system, individuals can conveniently apply for and pay for their permits from the comfort of their own homes using a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Furthermore, to facilitate a seamless transition and ensure accessibility, a self-service kiosk has been installed in the front entryway of the Fire Department. This kiosk will enable users to register for and purchase permits on-site. Additionally, administrative staff will be available during regular business hours to provide assistance with the process, should it be required.
