The Wellfleet Fire Department extends our heartfelt gratitude to the community members who joined us and the Wellfleet Police Department as we paused our busy day to remember and honor those lost during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day, including 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers.
