Welcome to Wellfleet Fire & Rescue

OPEN BURNING, 2010

Open brush burning is allowed beginning on January 15.  You must have a permit from the Fire Department before you can burn brush.  Permits cost $15, and must be paid for with a check or the exact amount in cash.  Permits are available at the Fire Department from 9 AM to 3 PM daily.

NEW THIS YEAR

Calls for permission to burn must be made to a special phone line.

This automated line will advise whether burning is allowed, and if so, will take your name, address and permit number.

Calls for permission to burn will be taken on this new phone line only.

The number for the new automated burn line is 508-349-0333.

Click here for more information, including links to the open burning regulations and to a permit application which you can download and fill in.
